Holi-blog - yes, about bloody time too!
Oh, I have no idea. I won’t carry on where I left off after all. Firstly coz it was ages ago now so being out of order hardly matters much and secondly because it’s hard to think when it’s about 30 degrees and your head is full of penguins.
Penguins and sunshine. The bit of my brain that is dedicated to thinking about penguins (the birdy kind - not the chocolately kind although, since I mentioned chocolate - I did just tour a chocolate factory - yummmmmm) is not terribly happy with the two juxtaposing in this fashion. It sits there stubbornly saying - “NO. Penguins live in the cold, penguins live on ice somewhere very very extremely exceedingly freezing. I SEE NO PENGUINS.”
My eyes however say “look penguins” and my cuteness centre says “awww look - baaaaaby penguins!”.
Oh and did I mention the dolphins? There were some of them too. And seals and sealions and looooooaaaaaddds of birds (other than penguins obviously).
It’s been a sunny day. And full of animals. And chocolate. Lots of that too.
I’m in Dunedin by the way, in case anyone wanted to know. The city that was modelled on Edinburgh - except they seem to have forgotten the pubs so I think it was modelled on a Presby ideal of Edinburgh instead. Except I’m not sure how the penguins fit in… Looking like vicars maybe?
